We invite you to a super inspiring conversation with Mirosław Mikołajczak, CEO & Founder of Selsey – one of Poland's leading home & decor brands. Mirek founded the company in 2013 and grew it from scratch to PLN 238 million in revenue in 2025.

Today, Selsey designs and manufactures furniture in Poland, sells across eight markets in Europe, and its products can be found in nearly one in four Polish homes. Before returning to Poland and starting the company, he spent five years in Australia. He's a member of Entrepreneurs' Organization and, in his private life, a husband and father of two daughters.

We talk about what goes into building a strong brand in the furniture sector in Poland and Europe. Mirek shares his experience with challenging logistics, international expansion, and smart team management. In this episode you'll learn, among other things:

  • Why Selsey decided to migrate to Shopify and how it affected the store's day-to-day operations 🔝
  • How analytics and a data-driven approach help maintain the company's performance 📈
  • How a founder's routine and drawing conclusions from negative reviews drive business growth 🛒

This episode is packed with substantive knowledge for every founder, entrepreneur, and e-commerce enthusiast thinking about taking their product abroad.

The book Mirek recommends in the episode 📚 "Multipliers" by Liz Wiseman

Books mentioned in the episode:

  • "No Rules Rules" by Reed Hastings & Erin Meyer,
