Phytoceutics is an innovative brand from South Africa operating in the Science-Driven Wellness segment. The company builds its market edge on scientifically validated supplement formulas and advanced ingredient delivery technologies – such as liposomal formulations.
It’s a rapidly growing DTC business that, at a certain stage of its growth, realised the need to move beyond its existing platform. To continue scaling sales and expanding globally, a more stable and flexible e-commerce solution was required – and that’s exactly what we had the pleasure to deliver.

The main challenges could be divided into two areas: technology and image. From a technological perspective, secure data transfer enabling process automation was key.
From a brand perspective, the new store had to stay true to the brand’s DNA – it needed to be visually appealing, modern, and reflect the scientific nature of Phytoceutics’ products. Additionally, the UX/UI design had to clearly communicate the scientific advancement behind each formula and its health benefits – from gut health to longevity – all while staying aligned with the brand’s philosophy: “Be a Force of Nature.”
This project became a blend of science, aesthetics, and authenticity – brought together into one cohesive shopping experience.

We kicked off the project with Discovery Workshops, which allowed us to deeply understand the brand, its values, and business goals. Thanks to that, our very first architecture and design concepts were approved – confirming we were on the right path.
The final platform of choice was Shopify, selected for its global scalability, reliability, and ease of maintenance.
Based on workshop insights, we designed a fully custom interface from scratch – without using any templates. Our design focused on modernity, fluidity, and dynamic visual storytelling through smooth animations and thoughtful use of video. The information architecture was structured to strengthen the brand’s expert image and clearly communicate the scientific benefits of its products.
